Brush With The Road Update
Went by Concord Motorsports today to look at the scoot. Pretty scraped up on the left side. The front wheel turns freely. I am still not sure what happened. Will wait for the appraiser to look at it. I feel as if I was run over by a truck. There will be an MRI nest week to determine if anything is wrong with my knee. Will keep you posted. Ride safe.

Robert, Glad to hear that you are up and moving around. Thanks for keeping us updated. Let us know the MRI results and hopefully the insurance will take care of everything. Bonnie

Robert,
I hope that you are doing well. How's the healing going? How's the bike?

brush with road update
My MRI is scheduled for Monday. The insurance says $1400 to fix the scoot. I think the front wheel bearing went out, the wheel wobbled and the brake disc wedged between the brake pads. If I am able I will try and make the July 19 ride. But I will be on the Valkyrie not the scooter.

Re: Brush With The Road Update
Glad to hear you may be with us one the 19th! It's good to know you are ok...and it is a wake-up call for all of us to keep up on our service on our bikes, and do our own up keep at home, ie; tire pressure, check tread, etc. Always good to ask at the shop, "How were the steering wheel bearings?" Just to make sure they didn't forget (because of in a hurry or whatever) Maybe your posts may save a life down the road, making us more cautious and careful.....thanks, and glad ur going to be ok!

Re: Brush With The Road Update
Sorry for the delay in return post. We moved into a new home and I was without the inetrnet for about 2 weeks.
The bad news......after the MRI and Dr visit, I broke my leg in 2 places. No weight on my leg for 6 to 8 weeks, so no riding either. Guess I'll see you guys somewhere down the road in the future.

Re: Brush With The Road Update
So sorry to hear about your leg, that's the bad news...the good news is you'll be fine soon!!! I wish you fast healing. It seems you have a great outlook on all that has happened, and that is very important. Maybe someone was looking over your shoulder because like you said, you were not going too fast and you weren't on the freeway when this happened, which could have changed everything! So take care my friend, see you on the back roads soon!
