July Group Ride to Skyline Bl and the coast

I am going to be able to do this Saturday's ride, after all. I may be riding to McDonalds with Dave E (I've sent him a message), but I will be there by 10:00. It will be good to see everyone.

I haven't had any problems with the camera on a string yet but then our scoots are really very smooth so we don't have to worry about the vibration. You need to thank James for the quality of the photostory's really. He explained it to me and I just tried it. I'm not sure if James will be there but hope he can make it.

Hello all,

I hope this doesn't get anyone upset but I won't be able to make it tomorrow. I have been having some really bad headaches the last couple of days to the point I got dizzy once and I don't think it would be safe to ride. I haven't been on my SWing since they started. I thought they would pass since I don't really ever get headaches but these have been very intense. Again, I'm very sorry since I was going to lead the ride but I just don't think it is safe for me to ride. If anyone has a gps you can just look at the map I made and input a few of the locations in your gps and take that route.

If they don't go away this weekend I am going to see a doctor. If anyone has any questions on the route please look at the map or respond to this. Again, I'm sorry, this is my favorite ride really.

Ride safe and take plenty of pics please. A nice group picture would be nice and I will put it on the main page here with all the names.

Really sorry to hear about that. You've done a good job planning this route and I know that you were looking forward to riding it. I hope that they get better soon.

I kind of know this loop, so I'll print out the map and directions and if someone has a GPS that would be better, but we should still be good to go. Jeff has done a good job with the details, so it should be pretty straight forward.

Basically, west on 92 to Skyline south to Big Basin ( Hwy 9 ) to Santa Cruz, up highway 1 to 84 East and back to Skyline. Piece of cake!

Yeah, sorry to hear about your headaches...Gonna miss ya, but if Scott's willing, he would be good to lead the group! What do you think, Scott? Jeff, please get well soon, it's probably nothing serious, stress can do it too. I would go to the Doc and see what he has to say anyway...take care, Larry

I just put the route into my old GPS, so we should be good to go. Looking forward to seeing everyone at McD's in the morning at 10:00.

Sorry to the entire group for missing the ride! On my last trip down the stairs while getting ready to leave this morning, I missed a step & landed hard, and somehow messed up my back but good. I won't be riding anywhere (or doing much of anything) for a few days.

Dave & Karryll, I'm so sorry I missed you at Manzanita; I'd have called but I don't have your numbers.

I hope you all have perfect weather & a wonderful ride, and that somebody takes pictures!

We had 11 riders and it was a great ride. Thanks Jeff for all of the suggestions and planning, it was terrific. These are some of the prettiest roads that I've ridden on in the area and the weather cooperated with medium temps, no rain and clear skies.

What a super ride! The roads, the weather, the scenery, all combine to make it near perfect. Scott did a great job as leader, and kudos to Dave for the lunch suggestion. It was one of the nicest rides I've done in the four years I've been riding. Ingrid and I had a great time. I realize that I am kind of the group weenie in managing my bike, but I appreciate your patience, and I do learn things from riding with other, better riders, so thanks.

Sam, I am so sorry to hear of your fall. We waited until 9 for you, but figured something must have gone amiss. I hope you are feeling better soon, and I hope to meet you on the next ride.

Great pics Capt. John! I think I had the wrong setting or something on the camera I was using (borrowed from my son as mine is too big to hang from my neck) I need to get used to it. Good set...plenty of pics with me in there...heheheh. I have to go to a wedding on the 15th (and play for the reception) to I won't be able to go to the Reno ride. But y'all have a good ride, ok? Sounds like the ride up and back will be nice too....
