Hey all! Scott, I noticed you have a mount on your scoot. What mount is it, where did you get it, and is it easy to mount? If anyone out there knows of some mounts that work on scoot handlebars (for GPS, or Radar, etc.) please let me know, ok? Thanks for everyone's input-take care...

Larry,

I got mine from a guy called "Motorcycle Larry" at www.motorcyclelarry.com. They replace the stock reservoir cover plates with no modification.

Hi Larry,

I think the most popular mount product on the market is made by RAM Mounts. You can Google the term and find a whole wealth of info and many suppliers from which to choose. (Prices do fluctuate so shop around.) Just remember, there are basically three separate–but connected–parts to any RAM Mount setup: 1) the base, 2) the arm, and 3) the device cradle. Like Scott (and many others in our group), I bought the brake fluid reservoir base as it's conveniently located and up high on the bars. It's a breeze to install.

Good luck.

Larry,

This is the one my wife ordered for me for Fathers Day:

http://www.gpscity.com/ramb174ga24

I should get it tomorrow and I will mount it and come back and report on it. You can use this link for any type of mount and GPS. Just type in www.gpscity.com . I have the Nuvi 200 and use a make shift holder now that really isn't too good so this should be a huge improvement.

Mounts for maxiscooters Empty GPS Mount

Post by Bonnie Mon Jun 23, 2008 10:41 pm

I have a GPS mount on both scooters. They are Ram Mounts and I got them from GPS City. They have a great selection and good prices. I have the reservoir mount on both scooters but on my last Burgman I got a mount that fits under the bolt that holds the side mirror. My Garmin mount takes an additional diamond mount on the back that attaches to the double ended arm. Good luck, Bonnie

I received my mount today. It's a RAM mount (mirror mount). It looks good, works good and should last a long time. I will post some pics later...
