2 passes ride on Saturday?
Anyone up for a two passes ride on Saturday?
The plan is to leave Tracy between 7:00 and 7:30 and head over Tioga pass on 120 and then north on 395 to 89 to Highway 88 and come back west over Carson pass. It'll be an all day ride, I've estimated it at 9 to 10 hours.

Hmmm... any chance you guys would do this Sunday instead?
If yes, then Donna and I will join you. Otherwise, have a great ride.

Scott. Could you post where and what time you guys are going to meet. I might be able to join up also. Maybe I can get Bonnie to ride along??

Super cool. I got your message Scott, and Donna and I are coming.
I will give you a call this morning to plan for a place to meet.
Coming from Sac, there is no need for us to go all the way to Tracy
so we can pick a spot on your route.

Hi Scott,
I guess you changed the group ride route from San Andreas to the Sonora/Carson Pass ride. Been there recently with Capt John, so I pass on the two passes.

Gene,
No change to the group ride, just another one added this week. The group ride is still on for the 28th to San Andreas.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the clarification, but I will have to pass on the San Andreas ride as well.

Re: 2 passes ride on Saturday?
Scott. I went for a ride today and my leg is very sore this evening. I guess my knee is not ready for a day long ride. You guys have a great day and thanks for thinking of me. It is a ride I have wanted to take for a long time.

Re: 2 passes ride on Saturday?
Robert, It is good to hear that you were able to ride today. And you are right in paying attention to the pain. Let me know if you ever want to just go on a short ride. Since we live near each other it would be an easy thing to do while you are getting back in shape.

3 pass ride pics
Well it was great for me and Donna to ride with Scott and John yesterday over 3 passes.
As most of you know, Captain John has bought my Burger and I got my new Beemer.
We had an awsome ride with Scott at the lead. Although Le Mule (Beemer) was sniffing
out all the dirt trails on the side of the road, I was able to keep it on the black top,
right in line with John's tail
Anyway, here is the link to my pic web site, you will find the pics there and others
about older trips. Feel free to browse away.
Til next time.

Re: 2 passes ride on Saturday?
It was great riding with Alain, Donna and John yesterday. Perfect late summer/early fall weather, great scenery and everyone returned home safely.
I think that my favorite part of the rides was the ride through Yosemite. It was my first time and I can see that I'll have to go back many more times to really enjoy the beauty of that place.
We had a great BBQ lunch at Bodie Mike's BBQ in Lee Vining. Alain filled us in about Bodie. Apparently, it's an abandoned ghost town where it looks like the townspeople just walked away and left everything in place. We need to go there sometime to see that.
My hat's off to John for riding for 10+ hours on a factory Burgman seat! We tried to stop every two hours to either gas, rest or eat and even though that helped, I'm sure it still wasn't easy.
Total trip ( for me ): 425 miles, 11 hours ( door to door ).
Can't wait for the next one!
