Severe Weather Alert

FYI - There is a severe weather alert for the San Andreas / interior Northern CA area due to temperatures forecasted to be over 100 degrees (possibly 105 - 108) and significantly higher humidity levels of "monsoon moisture" coming into the area. This may trigger thunderstorms over the Sierra Nevada....You may want to check the Weather Channel forecasts and warnings for your Aug 16th ride.

Thanks for the heads up. If it is this hot I doubt I will make this ride. I'm not really a hot weather person. But I will keep checking. According to Yahoo weather it will be 98 in San Andreas on Saturday.

No problem...it does look like it will be pretty hot and humid...I looked at the online Weather Channel.com.....They are forecasting in the 100 degree range for Sat and have posted a Severe Weather Alert for heat and humidity... I think Thurs and Fri will be the worst with record temps and possible thunderstorms in the mountains...

Yeah, it looks like the forecast could be something to worry about, so we will need to follow the updates pretty closely this week. Currently, the San Andreas region is forecast for 90 F by noon and 97 F by 5:00 PM.
