I am thinking of going to the Travis AFB Air Show at the end of August.

I have never been to this show but beeen to other base shows.

Is Saturday or Sunday a better show, more or less crowds.

Is the main gate the only way in.

Planning on taking the cage.

Being near the bay area and Sacramento I bet its a zoo.

Thanks for any info.

Steve

Travis usually does an excellent air show. Just beware the traffic is usually 7734 getting in and out (especially out after the show). I'm sure that either The Thunderbirds or the Blue Angels will be there. Between Mather and Travis, I've been to 6 of their shows in the past.

My first thought was to show up on my Burgman 400, but then saw this: http://www.travisairshow.com/security.php

Why do you suppose they are disallowing bicycles and scooters? And I wonder if that includes motorcycles, and if not, where do they draw the line.

I think they mean no scooters (razors) beyond the flightline gate.

They do not mention motorcycles.

Parking is one thing.

I should call the base for clairification.

I think Whiteknuckler is correct about the "Razor" scooter. I'd be more concerned about "suspicious behavior". Don't go flashing those new business cards to anybody or I'm sure you will be quickly escorted off base property! lol
