Vespa 250GT wobble Empty Vespa 250GT wobble

My new GT 250 Vespa wobbles around 30 mph. Vendor gave me some weights to put on the end of the handlebars. That helped but there's still a distinct wobble at that speed. I'm wondering if this is endemic to all new Vespas of my model and don't know where to go from here. Anyone else suffering this malady, or heard about it? I'm more concerned about safety than anything else and the vendor won't help.

Thanks in advance for any input.

If you have a topbox mounted on the rear of your scooter, you should have received heavier handlebar weights in the mounting kit. If you don't use the heavier weights, you'll have a wobble. These types of questions have been answered many times on www.modervespa.com. You might consider searching that website, which addresses many Vespa/Piaggio issues on a routine basis.

I hope that helps,

I second that

Vespa GT's and GTS's are famous for the 30 mph wobble.

Some notice it more than others.

I have not noticed it much on my GT.
